With backgrounds and influences as unique as their individual talents, Forty Grand draws on this diversity to create a sound all their own. Hailing from California to New York, with experiences on tours, in clubs, at events and weddings, and inspiration from gospel to jazz to hard rock, they entertain audiences with classic rock hits and music from the 60s to today.

The idea of Forty Grand was started when Steve saw a local band at Musikfest. He wanted to create a "Corporate Band". Meaning they all work at the same company. So he started looking around his company. He found Bob and Frank. They started jammin' and hit it off real quick. They called themselves "The Three Amigos" as they continued to look for other pieces to the band.

After looking inside the company for a while (not finding the "Right" pieces) they decided to go outside the company and found Keith. The first time Keith jammed with them he knew it was what he wanted. The "Three Amigos" thought he was just right for the band. So they invited him to join.

After getting a few songs together, the four of them started auditioning drummers. They had reduced the field to two. It was a difficult decision, but they finally invited Jim to join the band. Jim was glad because it was exactly what he was looking for.

As the five of them started practicing and getting songs down with Steve on lead vocals and Frank and Bob mainly backup vocals, they decided to get another vocalist to help out. But they wanted a Female vocalist to add variety to the band.

Interestingly, they found her within the Company that the "Three Amigos" worked at. Eliese met with Steve, Bob and Frank at lunch. And Eliese didn't disappoint them, she started singing for them right there in the cafeteria. Then they had to try her with the rest of the band. When Eliese sang with the band, her great voice impressed all of them. They knew they had a fantastic singer that could sing anything she wanted to, from Blues and Motown to Rock-n-Roll.

And Forty Grand was born.
